Formed in 1965, the CSI has been instrumental in guiding the Indian IT industry down the right path since its formative years. Today, the CSI has 71 chapters all over India, 418 student branches, and more than 90,000 members, including India’s most famous IT industry leaders, brilliant scientists and dedicated academicians. Now, you have the opportunity to be a part of this distinguished fraternity too.
 
The mission of the CSI is to facilitate research, knowledge sharing, learning and career enhancement for all categories of IT professionals, while simultaneously inspiring and nurturing new entrants into the industry and helping them to integrate into the IT community. The CSI is also working closely with other industry associations, government bodies and academia to ensure that the benefits of IT advancement ultimately percolate down to every single citizen of India.

CSI IT Awards
 
The Society has instituted National IT awards to encourage and promote the spread of IT.

CSI National IT Awards in three separate categories to recognize “Significant Contributions to the promotion of IT applications”. These awards are categorized in Best Software, Best Shrink Wrapped Software and Best IT Usage.

It has recently started an award to recognize the “Best Quality project in the country” as well. CSI National “Young IT Professional Awards” to identify, recognize and encourage outstanding achievements of young IT professionals. CSI Award on “e-Governance” to give recognition to a Central or State govt. or any of its department which has made a significant impact in the usage of IT.

Fellowship Awards
 
The Society instituted in the year 1979, the Fellowship Awards to honor distinguished personalities who have served the Society with their dedication, devotion and faith to those who have excelled in fields related to the Society.
The Society has instituted a number of CSI Awards to commemorate the distinguished personalities or their dear ones, who have been actively associated with the CSI, with a view to reward members who excel in one form or the other. These awards are given during the Annual Convention of CSI.Dr. Virendra Gupta Memorial Award: (Best Student Paper Postgraduate)
 

This is awarded to the best student paper presented at Annual CSI Convention every year. Dr. Virendra Gupta was the Chairman of Delhi Chapter during 1974-76, North Regional Representative during 1977-79 and Member of Nomination Committee during 1980-81.

Raizada Memorial Award: (Best Article)

 

This Award instituted by the Delhi Chapter is presented at the Annual CSI Convention to the writer of the best article appearing in CSI Communications during the financial year. Mr. Raizada was the founder member of Delhi Chapter and its Secretary from 1970-73 and Editor of CSI Newsletter from 1973-78.

Anita Khanna Memorial Award

 
The award is given to the student standing 1st in the exams conducted by CSI. This Award has been instituted by Mr. R. S. Khanna of Delhi, father of Anita Khanna CSI member who passed away suddenly on last day of Annual Convention CSI-84 at Hyderabad.

  • Department had organized three weeks workshop under CSI Student Chapter on “C Language” for students of IT II Year from 08/08/2017 to 20/08/2017 coordinated by Prof. Narendra Pal Singh Rathore & Prof. Milap Pathak.
  • Department have successfully opened Google Developer Student Club at our campus and Rishabh Maratha, Student of IT 3rd Year selected as a Lead Developer Student Club.
  • Department had organized 1 day event under CSI Student Chapter on “Best out of Waste” on 8th Sep, 2017 coordinated by Prof. Vaishali Jain.
  • Department had conducted an Alumni Interaction session for Pre-final and Final Year students on 23rd Sep 2017 under CSI Student Chapter coordinated by Prof. Vaishali Jain.
  • Department had organized an expert talk under CSI Student Chapter on “As Industrial Exposure Is An Essential Part Of Knowledge Upgradation ” on 23rd Sep 2017 for the students of IT Final Year delivered by Dr. Shaligram Prajapati, Associate Professor, IIPS DAVV Indore. Expert Talk was coordinated by Prof. Narendra Pal Singh Rathore.
  • Department had organized an expert talk under CSI Student Chapter on “Computer Network and Java Technology” on 23rd Sep 2017 for the students of IT Final Year delivered by Mr. Anand Varma, Sr. Software Developer, Webdunia Indore. Expert Talk was coordinated by Prof. Praveen Banodia.
  • Department had organized five days Hands-on-Workshop on “Hacking Workshop” on 30/Oct/2017 to 03/Nov/2017 coordinated by Nitesh Parmar, Sahaj Sugandhi & Praduman Singh Sisodiya.
  • IT Department & Acropolis Star Group had organized a Seminar under CSI Student Chapter on “Cyber Hygiene and Opportunities in Cyber Security” for the Faculty & students of AITR, Indore. The objective of the seminar was to impact awareness about cyber security and career opportunities in the field of Cyber Security and Forensics. the seminar delivered by Mr. Prashant Pandey the seminar coordinated by Prof. Akshita Sharma & Prof. Milap Pathak.
  • IT Department had organized a Seminar under CSI Student Chapter on “Topic” for the Student of AITR Date: . coordinated by Prof. Milap Pathak.
  • Department had conducted an Alumni Interaction session for Pre-final and Second Year students on 14 Nov 2017 under CSI Student Chapter coordinated by Prof. Vaishali Jain.
  • Department had organized an expert talk under CSI Student Chapter on “Research Methodology” on 15th March 2018 for the students of IT Third Year delivered by Dr. Sharddha Masih Associate Prof., DAVV Indore. Expert Talk was coordinated by Prof. Anita Mahajan.
  • Department had organized an seminar under CSI Student Chapter on “Introduction to Information Security & Ethical Hacking” on 15th March 2018 for the students of IT 3rd Year delivered by Appin Lab. Expert Talk was coordinated by Prof. Praveen Bhanodia.
