Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable and Receivable Supervisor to lead and manage the full cycle of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) operations. This role ensures the timely and accurate processing of financial transactions, maintains the integrity of the general ledger, and supports financial reporting, audit readiness, and compliance with internal standards. In addition to AP/AR responsibilities, this position will manage and perform functions related to payroll processing, general ledger maintenance, and client financial tasks including taxation and billing. The Supervisor will keep accurate records of agency financial transactions, monitor delinquent accounts, and respond to customer inquiries regarding billing issues. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong foundation in accounting principles, exceptional analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively across departments and with external partners. This role is expected to meet PZI Standards for timeliness and accuracy in all assigned financial activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable & Receivable Management Supervise and manage the complete AP and AR cycles, including invoice processing, payment reconciliation, collections, and recording of financial transactions with accuracy and timeliness.
  • General Ledger Oversight Maintain and reconcile the General Ledger to ensure compliance with accounting standards and accuracy in financial data.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Provide management with insights into account activity and financial trends to support strategic decision-making.
  • Internal Controls & Compliance Develop, implement, and monitor accounting systems and procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Audit Support Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors. Provide required documentation and support throughout audit processes.

  • Supervisors: AP/AR staff (if applicable)
  • Collaborate with: Accounting team, procurement, operations, and management teams
  • External Contacts: Vendors, customers, and auditors for payment, billing, and audit-related matters

Qualification Profile

  • Education:

Minimum of an Associate's degree in Business required; a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience, with a strong emphasis on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks preferred) Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus, particularly in multinational environments
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to lead, coach, and collaborate effectively across departments

 

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions

  • Standard office environment with prolonged periods of sitting and Visual acuity using a computer monitor for extended time (up to 8 hrs. per day)
  • Regular use of office equipment such as computers, printers, and telephones
  • May require occasional lifting of light materials (up to 15 pounds)
  • Minimal travel may be required
