Description Accounts Receivable Manager Exempt Full time, M-F, 40+ Hours Weekly
Job Responsibilities - Lead, manage, and coach Accounts Receivable staff, including performance monitoring and training.
- Oversee all A/R activities, including account reconciliations, collections, reporting, and escalations.
- Conduct credit evaluations for new accounts and work orders (D&B checks as needed).
- Analyze and review financial data to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Monitor and improve A/R aging, ensuring targets are met, for monthly, quarterly, and annual goals.
- Prepare and distribute A/R and billing reports; apply adjustments and credits; process EFTs and credit card payments.
- Experience with AIA’s, waivers, and liens.
- Meet regularly with A/R team to discuss collection strategies.
- Manage escalations, account disputes, and outbound calls as needed.
- Coordinate with external collection agencies and file liens when necessary.
- Serve as a notary for the company.
- Back up A/R Supervisor and team members during absences.
- Report directly to CFO; assist with CPA requests and audits.
Job Requirements - 5-7 years prior Management or Supervisory experience is required, ideally within an Accounts Receivable department
- 10 years of Accounting related work experience (majority of work experience in A/R is a plus)
- Experience collecting on accounts, analyzing reports, account reconciliations, running and evaluating credit worthiness is required
- Strong computer skills including Excel
- Ability to successfully coach team members and provide valuable feedback to encourage growth in their roles
Physical Requirements To perform this office based job successfully the following physical abilities are required:
- Sit or stand for several hours at a time.
- Move about with ease. Walk, stand, etc.
- Lift or move ten to thirty pounds per day, more on occasion.
- Reliable sight, hearing, verbal communication, and touch.
Compensation: This role offers a salary range based on experience ranging from $70,000 - $80,000
