Braker's Market in Eureka, IL is looking for one baker to join our growing team. We are located on 1183 Cruger Rd. Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, and engaged.

*Must be at least 18 years old*

The Bakery Department is key to bringing customers into the store on a regular basis. As such, employees in this department must be reliable, pay attention to detail in all aspects of baking, and be able to perform all functions of the bakery department including learning and operating all necessary equipment. Additionally, Bakery employees are responsible for cleaning their workspace, equipment, and dishes before leaving for the day.

While this position is paramount to the Braker’s Market experience, the work itself is primarily “behind-the-scenes” with little customer interaction. Team members must: demonstrate a willingness to learn and work well with all other employees; work efficiently; strictly follow all workplace safety protocols and store processes; obtain proper food handling and safety certification per the Illinois health department. Specific responsibilities are listed below:

Shift Requirements (generally):

· Typical work shift is 5 AM – 2 PM (or as determined necessary by the bakery manager)

· Some Saturdays required

Tasks:

· Putting away and stocking all boxes/shipments of bakery product deliveries in a timely manner

· Clean workspace and dishes before leaving for the day

· Variety of mixing, including cookie dough, cinnamon rolls, and bread

· Packaging bakery products for retail

· Fulfilling customer orders

· Use commercial baking equipment

Character:

· Maintain a positive attitude and demeanor

· Be a dedicated team player

· Be able to work with others, particularly in the bakery department, to demonstrate and set a high standard for work ethics (such as not standing around, enforcing proper health department regulations, working efficiently)

· Be able to receive instruction and correction from management

· Demonstrate a willingness to grow in knowledge and abilities

· Maintain a clean and sanitized work area

Physical Requirements:

·  Lift up to 50 or more pounds at times (team lifting may be required)

· Frequent bending/kneeling

· Some ladder use may be necessary
