The Whiskey Creek Hideout in Dania Beach Florida, part of the BG Signature Parks family is looking for self-driven, energetic Recreational Attendants to join our phenomenal team. We are located inside Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park. Our location is called "Hideout" for a reason, and we truly are a hidden treasure out here! We have lots of locals and value our customers like family, as well as one another as staff.

We depend on our team members to help guests find their ultimate experience—all while working to protect and preserve the park for future generations. No matter what your job is, you will be a proud steward of the park. You will play an essential role in providing warm and friendly hospitality to all our guests. Our ideal candidate is ambitious, self-driven, personable and reliable. Takes initiative at the tasks at hand and has great customer service skills. MUST be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Experience in paddle sports is a plus, but not needed.

• We are open everyday of the year weather permitting. Our hours of operation are 9am to 5pm. Must be available to work 1 weekend day.
• $15.00 a hour plus tips.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all upkeep and inventory of rental equipment (kayaks, paddle-boards, canoes, beach chairs, umbrellas, paddles, and PFDs)
• Kayak launch labor: Pulling kayaks, canoes, paddle boards from racks and preparing for customers
• Distributing paddles and life jackets to guests; washing PFDs upon return
• Cashiering; processing transactions, opening and closing register
• Assisting customers with equipment and providing directions on a map as well as freely.
• Explain to all guests the rental and safety guidelines

Qualifications

• Can comfortably lift over 45 lbs.
• Works well in a team in an outdoors environment.
• Reliable Transportation
• Bilingual is a plus
• Ability to listen and communicate effectively
• Basic mathematical skills
