Salary:
Starting at $19.60 an hour (Non-exempt)
About the Position:
To meet the health, welfare and safety needs of the residents, with direct supervision from the Unit Manager.
A Typical Day as a Residential Counselor:
Interact with all residents; assist them in completing the daily routine
Document all services delivered and track progress and plan for achievement of established goals
Dispense all medications and treatments to residents in strict accordance with all medical protocols
Complete assigned duties relative to hall functioning and ensure residents' adherence to all residential facility rules and regulations
Work Hours:
3:00-11:00PM
Does the Following Apply to You?
HS diploma, with relevant experience with youth and families (Required)
Bachelor's degree preferred in Social Work, Human Service, or related field (Preferred)
Child Welfare Experience (Preferred)
Additional Qualifications:
Completion of DCFS criminal background check and fingerprinting
Must be at least 21 years of age
Obtain an insured vehicle
At least three years of driving experience with a valid driver's license
Successful completion of DCFS Foundations Training to obtain Child Welfare Licensure
