About Acropolis Institute of Technology and Research

Acropolis Institute of Technology and Research (AITR), Indore is the strongest academic institute with state of art infrastructure and is known for the best placements in Central India. About AICTE IDEA Lab-

AICTE IDEA (Idea Development, Evaluation & Application) Lab, Acropolis aims to encourage students for application of science, technology engineering and mathematics (STEM) fundamentals towards enhanced hands-on experience, learning by doing and even product visualization. As a common facility embedded in the institution, the IDEA Lab will make engineering graduates and the end users more imaginative and creative, besides getting basic training in the 21st century skills like – critical thinking, problem solving, design thinking, collaboration, communication, lifelong learning etc. IDEA Lab can facilitate the students and faculty to “Engage, Explore, Experience, Express and Excel” as desired by the Hon’ble Prime Minister in the wake of release of National Education Policy 2020.

The AICTE has launched this scheme with a huge collaborative funding of INR 1 Cr. across India for the training and development of students and society through hands-on learning on the latest technologies. Acropolis is among top 49 institutes of the country to establish an IDEA Lab. This lab has an industry 4.0 standard hi-tech lab facility available 24×7 on campus, encouraging more students, faculty, alumni, entrepreneurs, industry personal and society people to take on creative work and, in the process, receive trainings and internships and other skills that traditional labs do not focus on, in the domains of 3D Printing and Scanning, Smart Manufacturing, Advanced Electronics Circuit Designing, Internet of Things, E-Vehicle, Robotics, Drone, Bio-manufacturing, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and other buzzing cutting edge technologies. AICTE IDEA Lab caters to the various research needs of industries and would provide a great opportunity for industries and academia to use the advanced facilities. The major objectives of AICTE IDEA Lab are:

 

  1. To encourage students to apply for the application of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fundamentals towards enhanced hands-on experience, learning by doing, and product
  2. To provide research and development activities, including simulation, fabrication, manufacturing, testing, evaluation, validation, and commercialization, along with facilitating the making of patentable
  3. To offer technical/vocational training programs for engineering, diploma, ITI, and school students to make them industry ready and globally employable.
  4. To conduct up-skilling training programs for industry professionals to make them technically competent to meet global industry requirements.
  5. To organize faculty development programs, boot camps, skilling programs, workshops, consultancy work, and internships.
