Acropolis Institute of Technology and Research (AITR) is establishing a Platform for the dissemination and creation of knowledge through teaching and research in Physics.
The physics department of AITR is an essential component of the academic system, providing foundational knowledge to students studying in various engineering branches. The department is having qualified and experienced faculties, including Associate professors and assistant professors for teaching courses and conducting research in various areas of physics. They are having advanced degrees in physics, and have experience in teaching at various levels. At present the department has been running with five faculty members headed by Dr. Sushma Patidar, each faculty is having good academic career. The current academic programs where Physics is offered is in all branches of B.Tech. and Diploma. The department's curriculum includes a range of topics that covers Quantum mechanics, Laser, Optics and other core topics in physics. The contents of course is designed by RGTU to provide a solid foundation for students pursuing degrees in engineering. The department of physics has been trying to uplift the knowledge of physics among the students up to the national and international level. Here the students get knowledge in experimental as well as theoretical physics in First year. The department have well-equipped laboratories for conducting experiments in various areas of physics. Students have access to modern equipment, such as lasers, spectrometers, telescope etc to gain hands-on experience and develop practical skills. The department is enriched with learning resources such as charts, laboratory manuals and modern facilities like computers and internet. The department has also introduced other innovative methods like Assignments, Seminar work, Group discussion, Quiz and Model competition. The vision of the department is to guide the students in accordance with the RGTU syllabus. The faculty members of the department attended various academic programs like Faculty development program, Workshop, International and National conferences, Seminar etc. to update themselves with recent trends of Physics. The department is interested to start research program with the collaboration with other departments that focuses on areas of physics relevant to engineering, such as Material science, Solid-state physics, Plasma physics and Nanotechnology. This research can provide good opportunities for students to engage in cutting-edge research and gain valuable experience. Overall the physics department provides a rigorous and engaging education in physics that prepares students for successful careers in engineering and related fields.

The study of physics is also an adventure. You will find it challenging, sometimes frustrating, occasionally painful, and often richly rewarding.”

Welcome to the Department of Engineering Physics !
Physical Sciences are the foundation for all Engineering disciplines. Therefore a sound and application-oriented understanding in Physics is a pre-requisite for Engineering. The Department provides the foundational course in Physics to the B.Tech. first year students of all the disciplines of engineering.
The department has well qualified, experienced, and highly motivated faculty members who will always strive to advance their knowledge and level of competence for achieving further excellence by organizing/attending seminars, conferences and workshops besides taking up various academic and extracurricular responsibilities.
The department has an excellent infrastructure and lab facilities that not only cover the complete syllabus but also to motivate students to learn beyond the syllabus.
We are working with tremendous hard work and team spirit to provide the necessary skills for students to become technical intellectuals and good human beings to take up the new challenges.
