Humanities Department, Acropolis Institute of Technology and Research (AITR) is one of the best departments in Central India. The department is well equipped with highly qualified faculties and state-of-art laboratories. Some of the specialties of the department are as under:

• The Department has 2 unique Language Labs of 62 systems with software K-Van Solution that majorly includes the topics like Oral Presentation, Body Language, Writing Skills, Phonetics, Speeches, Interviews, Group Discussion, Debate, Role Play etc. Students are made not only to read, listen and learn through software but also to perform all the activities practically through presentations to enhance their presentation skills and overall personality.
• Buzzers’ CDs are also uploaded in Lab systems to help students learn basic etiquettes and improve their behavioural aspects; and gain confidence to face the real world.
• The department has a GD Room with the capacity of 35 students and a Seminar Hall with the capacity of 75 students.
• Considering the importance of communication in professional world, department organizes various competitions like essay writing, poetry competition, debate competitions, models exhibitions, quizzes, oral presentations, role play etc. to give extra edge to the students’ skills.
• Department organizes various seminars, FDPs and workshops on Personality Development and Communication Skills conducted by in-house faculties and experts from outside.
• Considering the acceptance of English Language as lingua franca of modern Technology and Commerce, Humanities Department brought forth-“Wednesday Wisdom” incorporating some concepts related to English Language in view to help all to ameliorate their language skills so that they can compete with their best in the world of minds and materials.

In this highly competitive era, proficiency in English Language and Communication is considered one of the dominant employability skills and I feel privileged that I am heading the Humanities Department which is always a step ahead to train our students in a way that help them to communicate and correspond effectively in Global Business Environment.
