About IEEE Student Branch – STB04301

The IEEE Student branch of Acropolis Institute of Technology and Research, Indore is a vibrant unit with enthusiastic members who aims to provide an ecosystem to their members where they can nurture their technical skill and get mentoring from industry experts, technical experts and providing an environment for them to come up with ideas and work to build a solution and contribute to the society and nation.    

About IEEE Special Interest Group in Humanitarian Technology (SIGHT) Student Branch Group - SBA04301S 

IEEE Special Interest Group on Humanitarian Technology (SIGHT) Group Acropolis provides the opportunity to work with a large network of volunteers around the world carrying out and/or supporting impactful humanitarian activities on the local level. It focuses on sustainable solutions that make a long-term difference in the lives of people. SIGHT operates through local volunteers and partners working with local communities.

About IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter – SBC043011 

The IEEE Computer society student branch chapter aims to engage the budding computer engineers, scientists, academia, and industry professionals from all areas of computing. It prepares the engineering leaders at every phase of their career for dialogue, debate, and collaboration. IEEE CS student branch chapter empowers, shapes, and guides the future of not only its members, but the greater industry, enabling new opportunities to better serve our world.

About IEEE Computational Intelligence Society Student Branch Chapter-

IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) student branch chapter focuses on the theory, design, application, and development of biologically and linguistically motivated computational paradigms emphasising neural networks, connectionist systems, genetic algorithms, evolutionary programming, fuzzy systems, and hybrid intelligent systems in which these paradigms are contained.

Events: Jan 2023- till date

  1. Investiture Ceremony: IEEE Investiture Ceremony- 2023 was successfully conducted at IEEE Student Branch Acropolis Institute, Indore on 14 January 2023. Shri MK Badapanda, Scientific Officer- H and Dr. Sanjiv Tokekar, Director IET DAVV, Indore were present as Chief Guest and Guest of Honor on the occassion. They enlightened the students with importance and scope of IEEE. Office bearers of 5 IEEE Organizational Units and total 64 IEEE Student members were awarded with the badges and certificates.
  2. A Visit to RRCAT: An Enchanting visit to Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology was organised by IEEE Student Branch (SB), AITR on 26th February 2023 as a part of Science Day Celebration. The objective of the visit was to inspire the students to utilize their scientific knowledge and bring the best innovation.
  3. Workshop on “Skilling Program on Advanced Manufacturing Techniques”.A five-day long workshop was organised from 27 Feb 2023 to 03 March 2023 at AICTE IDEA Lab. The week- long workshop was organised on the topic “Skilling Program on Advanced Manufacturing Techniques”. The main objective of the workshop was to provide a comprehensive overview of the various technologies used in the industrial sector and to impart the necessary skill-sets to use these technologies efficiently and effectively.
  4. Workshop on “GIT & GITHUB”.

    An online session on “GIT & GITHUB” was organised by IEEE Student Branch on 26th March 2023. The objective of the online session on Git and GitHub was to provide a comprehensive overview of the basics of Git and GitHub. The speaker of the session was Mr. Pankaj Patel.

Celebration of International Women’s Day 2023:

In the honour of International Women’s Day IEEE Women in Engineering SB Affinity Group, Acropolis organized a speaker session on the topic- “Embrace Equility” on 13th March, 2023. The guest speaker was Prof Anjana Jain Professor and Head, Dept. ECE, SGSITS, Indore.

Educational Tour – An Education Tour to Jimmy McGilligan Centre for Sustainable Development was organised by IEEE SIGHT, AITR on 6th March 2023. The participants were enlightened with the knowledge of water recharging system, solar dryers for food and vegetables processing with a dozen of different types of solar cookers in additional to the purposely designed Solar Kitchen demonstration, solar thermal cooking /directly cooking with sun.

Render with React (BootCamp) – Render with React was a 6- day long boot camp organized by the IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter. To make students learn about the much in need technology React, training was delivered by proficient speaker Mr. Akshay Mandliya.

Code block – The aim of the orientation session was to provide the students with perception on the boon of blockchain and its applications while the workshop was oriented towards guiding students to be able to create their own crypto-currency by solidity smart contracts.. Mr. Uttam Singh, the speaker of the day breifed about the growth of blockchain.

Workshop on Hands on training- AI, ML and DL

Visit of MSME Technology Centre, Indore(Indo German Tool Room)

The aim of the visit was to get students familiar with the manufacturing units and industrial standard machines. The Visit was organised by IEEE Computational Intelligence Society Student Branch Chapter Acropolis under the aegis of IT Department on 25 March 2023.

An orientation session on Blockchain
