About the Department

Department of CSE (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) at Acropolis Institute of Technology & Research, Indore, M.P. started in the academic year 2022-2023. The department has an undergraduate (UG) program with covers fundamentals of computer science courses along with the required courses relating to AI and ML. The program is approved by A.I.C.T.E. New Delhi and affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), Bhopal (M.P.).

Artificial intelligence & Machine Learning is an associated branch of Computer Science which emphases on technology for generating intelligent machines. AI is a technology which allows a machine to simulate human behavior. ML is a subset of AI which allows a machine to automatically learn from past data without programming explicitly. The goal of AI is to make a smart computer system like humans to solve complex problems. Machine learning focuses on the development of computer programs.

A bundant career opportunity of AI & ML is present in different fields. The jobs in AI & ML include Big Data Engineer, Business Intelligence Developer, Data Scientist, Software analysts and developers, Computer scientists and computer engineers, AI Algorithm specialists, Research scientists, AI & ML Engineer, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence Scientist, AI Software Engineer and many more.

The Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML) department at Acropolis Institute of Technology and Research focuses on empowering students with the skills and knowledge to unlock the potential of AI, driving innovation and making a positive impact on society. From classrooms to research labs, the department is committed to nurturing talent and pushing the boundaries of what's possible with AI. The Department also have MOU/ Collaborations with Infosys Springboard and IEEE SIGHT.

Message from HOD

The creation of intelligent solutions to practical challenges is being led by artificial intelligence and machine learning technology. Machine learning is essential for the majority of our present and future applications as our technologically advanced civilization increasingly relies on digital data. In the near future, engineers with experience in artificial intelligence will be required in all of the key industries, including healthcare, Industry 5.0, finance, agriculture, security, law, and environmental management. In order to lead the development of internationally qualified engineers with an understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) and experience using AI to apply to difficult projects, the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) was created in 2020. The department has 120 students enrolled in its B.Tech CSE(AI&ML) programs. A degree from this program is significant and will make the student relevant to the industry with the necessary knowledge and strong communication and interpersonal skills. Deep Learning, Pattern Recognition, Natural Language Processing, and many other elective courses are among those taught by the department's highly qualified professors. The faculty has projects to their credit in conjunction with businesses, foreign universities, and reputable research labs. They are actively involved in research and publications. The students have actively participated in both research and application-based initiatives with businesses, R&D facilities, and academic institutions. Through global immersion programs, internships, industry co-teaching, certificate programs, workshops, and project based teaching and learning pedagogy, the programs give students the chance to develop themselves holistically. For conducting specialized modules in Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning, and AR-VR as well as for research projects and internships, the department also works in collaboration with Infosys Springboard. Our goal is not to turn our students into verbatim walking manuals for any language or software. Instead, students are given a solid foundation in AI & ML, taught how to solve problems, and made flexible. This method of teaching-learning, along with the practical experience gained through industrial training in reputable companies, is what we think best prepares our students to meet the difficulties provided by the software industry.
