About Acro Care
Shri. Ashok Sojatia, Chief Advisor, Acro Care with his great vision to build resilience and strengthen mental health of the students, faculty and staff members, laid the foundation stone of Acro Care. Acropolis is Central India’s first institute to provide easily accessible, in campus mental health services to all the students, faculty and staff members. Acro Care has been constituted to provide psychological assistance to 6000+ students, 300+ faculty and 400+ staff members of the group of institutions. Acro Care comprises a team of experienced psychologists with different areas of specialization, committed towards holistic mental well being. The mental health professionals at Acro Care endeavor to develop a supportive atmosphere at all levels. To accomplish the same, the team trains faculty members through seminars and workshops at regular intervals, who have direct interaction with the students.
Acro Care is a safe and confidential space for students and faculty members to freely share their emotional or behavioral concerns. The team conducts one-on-one counseling sessions, group therapy sessions, workshops, mental health awareness sessions and related activities in all the departments of various institutions. Psychological assessments are administered on each student and mental health reports are kept confidential.
Acro Care’s helpline number and email-id are provided to all students and faculty members for scheduling counseling sessions with a response time of less than 24 hours. Acro Care also provides a welcoming environment for parents to discuss their ward’s concerns. Family therapy sessions are also offered at Acro Care.

We envision to embark on a path with the community to promote universal and equitable access to the highest quality care for all people.

Objectives
- To provide a safe space to students, faculty and staff members to discuss freely about their emotional or behavioral concerns.
- To assess a student's adjustment level in the institute on several variables, work on the identified challenges and thereby, enhance student participation in various activities and academic performance.
- To administer, score and interpret psychological assessments for the students and faculty members.
- To conduct mental health awareness activities and workshops.
- To counsel and guide students to explore their personality and excel in their career.
- To encourage students and parents to seek counseling on their own.
- To create and maintain a database of psychometric tests and counseling with confidentiality.
- To connect with faculty members and parents wherever required with the student’s consent.

Mantra Yoga - Efficiency Booster Workshop
Acro Care organized an efficiency booster workshop on Mantra Yoga for the faculty members of the Acropolis Group of Institutions. The resource person for the workshop was Pt. Vijay Rawal, an expert Vedic Scholar. Pt. Rawal provided valuable insights into sound vibrations, numerous types of yoga and the cognizance about how exactly Mantra Yoga works – the chanting, the subsequent relaxation, detoxification and the rejuvenation of the mind and body, leading to complete peace and bliss. Through his practical session, the participants learnt the right way of ‘OM’ chanting.
Stress Tolerance and Entrepreneurial Resilience Workshop
Acro Care interacted with the students of BBA (AIMSR) for a special session as a part of the Ideation Workshop on the topic of Stress Tolerance and entrepreneurial resilience. It was an interactive session where the students were educated on how to increase their stress tolerance and build resilience in the face of their future entrepreneurial challenges. A Case Study on Cafe Coffee Day (CCD), showcasing Malavika Hegde’s (CEO, CCD) inspiring tale of entrepreneurial resilience was also discussed. Through demonstrations and active participation, the students’ learned breathing exercises and grounding techniques, and a useful stress management toolkit was also shared
Self Management for Transport Staff
Session on self-management was organized by Acro Care with bus drivers and conductors where Dr. Shraddha Tiwari, CEO of Acro Care elucidated the techniques of self-management, psychological impact of illicit behavior of transport workers, characteristics of a sound driver, dos and don’ts while on duty and maintaining a healthy lifestyle by changing food habits.
Toycathon
A special session on “ChildPsychology Behind Toys
” was conducted for the students of the idea lab at “Toycathon” to enhance their understanding of toy selection in children and role play of colors at different stages of development.
Self-Reflective Session for Faculty Members
Acro Care organized a self-reflective activity-based session for faculty members with the motive to spread awareness about good mental health and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Faculties also learned to regulate emotions in personal and professional lives. The session focused on personal growth and self-care. Self-reflective activities were performed by the faculty members. To boost their professional growth, the role of emotional intelligence and its major components were discussed

Induction Sessions for Students
Acro Care welcomes all the new students of all the programs byconducting interactive mental health awareness sessions followed bypsychometric assessment to ensure better academic performance andoverall development of the students.
Expert Talk on Psychological Resilience
Acro Care organized a seminar titled “Psychological Resilience in Students” for the students of AIPER. The resource person for the seminar was Dr. Ishina Choudhary, CBT expert and Corporate Trainer. Dr. Choudhary shared intuitive information about psychological resilience and great insights on building resilience through solution oriented mindset, positive self talk and perception change.
Group Therapy Sessions
With the AFMR and AIMSR (BBA) students, Acro Care ran group therapy sessions on emotional intelligence and suicide prevention, respectively. Students enthusiastically engaged in the discussion and expressed their concerns freely. They developed their ability to control their emotions and they learned to practice gratitude in life.
Mental Health Awareness Campaign
Acro Care organized a series of mental health awareness sessions for the second year students of Engineering. Through these sessions, team Acro Care connected with 700+ students. Students were interactive in the sessions and shared their understanding about the different mental health related topics and concerns that they face at this age starting from anxiety, self-confidence, overthinking to heartbreaks and family concerns.
