The objective of the “Dark Pattern Buster Hackathon” is to combat deceptive design practices, known as dark patterns, employed in user interfaces. Participants will collaborate to identify, analyze, and develop solutions to counter these unethical design strategies that manipulate user behavior. The hackathon aims to raise awareness about the importance of ethical design in technology, protect user rights, and foster a community dedicated to creating transparent and user-friendly digital experiences. By bringing together developers, designers, and advocates, the event strives to catalyze positive change in the digital landscape, promoting fair and responsible design principles.
